The goal of the design is to help users who don't have time/room/money to workout.

Lean UX
First, I brainstormed with Sarah and did a Lean UX exercise. I also talked about my own fitness experience, as a student living in an apartment, I want to get fit and have some tool to workout but really can't afford a gym membership, and have less room for me to work out at home. In the Lean UX exercise, we identified the business problem and solution ideas, as well as consolidating what are the targetted users, etc. This really helped us to get more clear vision on what kind of problems we want to use the design to solve.

Then I conducted some user interviews to understand user's painpoints, and their motivations.

Persona & Workflow
After collected findings from several potential users, I start to build the persona and workflow for my design. This helped me to identify what are the ideal user experience would be like for the user, and how they can use various functions to achieve their goal.

Paper Prototype

By quickly sketching out on the paper, I validate through some people including those full-time working mother and some busy people but want to workout more often. These gives me some quick feedbacks in turn my design into actual screen UIs.
